Alexander Mao Optometrist London Ontario at Mao Eye Care

Dr. Alexander J. Mao, OD, MPH

Dr. Alex Mao completed his medical and optometric education at the Capital University of Medical Sciences. He completed clinical training at Beijing Institute of Ophthalmology. He earned his Master of Science in Neuroscience at Western University and Master of Public Heath at Harvard School of Public Health. He holds an academic appointment at the Ivey Eye Institute as Adjunct Professor.

Dr. Mao has a full scope optometric practice at the Ivey Eye Institute with clinical interests in ocular disease management, myopia control, dry eye management, low vision rehabilitation and scleral contact lenses. Dr. Mao’s main research interests have been in clinical outcome research and clinical trials. Dr. Mao and his team are dedicated to providing quality eye care to safeguard and improve your vision, wellness and health.
